Alicia Schmidt has been a resident of Cape Coral since 1966, moving to SW Florida from Dunkirk, NY. Her work has been exhibited nationally and regionally in several solo, group, and juried exhibitions, and has been the recipient of many awards. Her paintings are included in private, public, and corporate collections around the country including Citibank, Miami; NCNB, Tampa; Krause-Anderson, Minneapolis; Nabisco Headquarters, New Jersey; and Neiman Marcus, Tampa. A painter, she has created series of works throughout the years using a variety of subjects - chairs, paper bags, the figure. Her primary work, however, has been with minimal abstract compositions.
